More Info on my branch

Mom told me this past week that our Hileman branch originated on the French German border, near Alsace.. and migrated to the United States via Netherlands. It was a curiosity in the family, because my grandmother married into a family that also originated there, and migrated at that time through Netherlands as well. My brother is doing online research now on the family, and is much better at it than I have been, so I believe we will have more links soon. As far as the branch coming from Carolinas, I am not certain yet, but it seems so. I think at some point they also were in Indiana, before the ones I am certain of who lived in Southern Illinois
