Hello everyone! I am new to the board and, in fact, new to the whole genealogy field. I live in Alleghany County, VA and my relatves came to this area in the late 1800's. I have found my way back thru my line to include my grandfather, Charlie H. Hyler, my G Grandfather, Thomas Jackson Hiler, my G2GF, Thomas A. Hiler, (it looks like we changed the spelling of our name when we arrived here in Alleghany County) and I have some basic info on a couple of additional generations back to Joseph Hiler and Martha Flippin. But, as many of you have noted here: we seem to have been fond of using the same names over and over thru the years. I would like to correspond with anyone who might be able to give me some help/additional info. ... and, naturaly, I am willing to share any info I have with you!
