I recently received documents of Susannah Hiles attempts to collect military pension benefits of my then deceased great great grandfather Elijah Hawk in 1889. Susannah is listed as 37 years old on this document. She uses as witnesses, Henry Hiles and John Hiles who served with Elijah and I assume are her brothers. She also uses documents signed by George Hiles and James Hiles. John is listed as 47 in 1891 and Henry as age 50. George is listed as age 55 in 1892. James Hiles is listed as 57 years old in a document from 1916. You had sent that 1850 census of Andrew and Sarah Hiles with children Henry age 10 Susanna age 6 John age 4 and Jacob 1 month. George is missing from this list but may be accidently omitted. Hope this provides some clues.
