Was Bernhardt Hilfiker a brother to Jacob Hilfiker?

Bernhardt Hilfiker, son of Benjamin and Barbara Kiser Hilfiker was born Feb. 25,1834 at Koliken, Canton of Argan,Switzerland,on the Rhine river. His trade as a tanner took him to New York in 1855. Went to Canada in 1859 and returned home for a visit. In 1860 went to Rochester, NY for one year then to Michigan for one year as farm hand. He went to Preble County, Ohio for short time and then to Jay County, Indiana where he remained. Married Mary Jane Money on Aug. 3, 1865, children were William F., James H., Alonzo C., Alfonso M. and Flora A. He died Jan. 29, 1916 at age 81. We are trying to determine if Jacob was a brother to Bernhardt
