Thanks for your interest in Jacob Hilficker/Hilfiker. He was my GGGGrandfather and according to his naturalization papers, he was born in Safenwil, Switzerland, 9 Aug 1782, and immigrated to USA in 1817. He brought a son, Rudolph (age 2), who is the GGGGrandfather of Tommy Hilfiger. Do you have any dates for your Jacob? I am sure that we have common roots in Switzerland.
