I'm not sure there's a connection with our families but my great grandfather was Ernst Rudolph Hilgeman, born March 21, 1856 in Lienen, Germany. He emigrated to Fort Wayne. I haven't been able to trace any further back. You mentioned the Hilgemann Family Reunion, I remember my parents getting notices for those from a Hilgemann family association, but have lost contact.
