I think our family tree connects up somewhere. Thanks so much for sending me a message.

I have a list of 14 children of Friedrich Rudolf Hilgemann & Wilhelmine Hermann of Lichen (West Falia), Germany (I think that is the town - I have it written down somewhere) I received this info from a daughter of one of these children after she went to a Hilgemann Reunion in Germany. Apparently these reunions are held quite often at the original "Homested"!

married Ella Ludwigs in 1910 & had 4 children

7.* Friederika Sophie Hilgemann born 4-23-1877 died 1966
8. Friederika Lisette Hilgemann born 8-8-1878
9. * Erust Heinrich Gottfried Hilgemann born 2-19-1880 died 4-25-1968 married Lena Fittjer & they had 2 children
10. Rudolf August Hilgemann born 3-24-1881
11. Wilhelmine Caroline Hilgemann born 6-28-1882
12. Erust Rudolf Hilgemann born 8-7-1883 died 1-17-1947
13. Erust Eduard Adolf Hilgemann born 9-10-1886
14. * Friedrich Christian Ulrich Hilgemann born 4-7-1887

all listed with an asterisk immigrated to the US

# 9 Gottfried Hilgeman was my great-grandfather who lived in Bronx, NY He owned a butcher shop during the war & changed the spelling of his last name by dropping the second "n" so he would sound less German!
