My great grandparents were Fred and Sophia Hilgendorf, emigrated from Germany , settled in Cook County, Illinois in 1850's;
lived on farm near BlueIsland and Oak Lawn area. both are buried in Mt Greenwood cemetary in Cook County, south Chicago area.
Searching for any information regarding when they arrived in Cook County, and from where they originated in NE Germany.
