Did William have an older brother Hugo born 1877? Was he married to a Sophie/Sophia/Sabina?

I found that Hugo A Hilgendorff died in Pinellas Co FL in 1977 per SSDI and FL Death Index:

Effie DEAN was from Mansfield, Wright Co., Missouri. Hugo was her third husband! She first married a Walter STOUT who died 1921, then a Louis F SCHUYLER died 1962, and then Hugo. She never had children or her own.

I found her in 1930 Census with Louis SCHUYLER in St Louis, MO:

Interesting that Louis also died in Pinellas Co FL. I remember her saying that he was from NY state.

I also remember 'Aunt' Effie and Louis passing thru our area when I was a young girl in Birmingham AL. They were on their way to St Petersburg/Tampa area. I guess they had a home in Pinellas Co., or were looking for one then. That was in late 1940s. Then she came for a 'visit' in early 1962 and stayed with my aunt in Auburn AL for over a year. It was after Louis had died. She went back to FL and my aunt never heard from her again! (They had a falling out because of her lengthy stay!)

A few years ago, I went to Wright Co MO looking for the DEAN family info., and found Aunt Effie buried in Mansfield Cemetery with both her first husband Walter STOUT, and her second husband Louis. All 3 names are on the tombstone, which must have been made before she remarried Hugo!
Her mother, and my maternal grgrandmother, Jemimah (Hodgson) DEAN is also buried in the cemetery there in Mansfield. She was married to John DEAN and they had located to Wright Co MO from McMinn Co., TN and settled.

Anyways.......I believe that Hugo is a brother of your William and they had a shoe co together after their father died. I had found census for them in 1910 - Hugo was born in NY and son William R born in NJ:

From this census, it seems that Anna emigrated separately from William in 1882. They were married 1886 (24 years per census), probably in NYC, since that is where Hugo was born in 1887. They must have moved to Elizabeth by the time William Robert was born in 4/1890.

I do not know when Hugo's first wife died, and was certainly surprised when I found that he remarried my great-aunt Effie! No one in our family knew this!

Do you have anything on their father William and Anna and where they emigrated from? Her maiden name?
