Seeking information on May Reynolds Hilgendorff (or Hilgendorf), wife of William Hilgendorff (born 1 May 1890 and 18 April 1890, respectively). They lived in Elizabeth, NJ from 1890 to at least 1920, as both their father were there in the 1890 city directory, and William and May are there together in the 1920 census. They had two daughters, Mary and May Elizbeth, and possibly one son.

Anyone with any information on a New Jersey branch of Hilgendorffs is asked to please contact me. I am seeking living descendants of May, in connection to her paternal Reynolds ancestors.

Thank you,
Niki Curry

Both of them are buried in the Grafton, Worth County, Iowa Cemetary.
Their children were: 1) Herman Friedrich Wilhelm Heimke, b. 7/27/1862; 2) Albert Richard Heimke, b. 1/3/1864; 3) Auguste Marie Wilhelmine Heimke, b. 1/21/1866; 4) Bertha Wilhelmine Louise Heimke, b. 9/21/1861; 5) Maria Mary Heimke, b. 7/20/1869; 6) Arvina (Alvina?) Louise Augusta Heimke, b. 12/8/1871; 7) Anna Wilhelmina Ernestine Heimke, b. 5/10/1872; and 8) Emil August Edward Heimke, b. 8/18/1878.

Alvira Helgendorf

To whom it may concern -

I am trying to trace my roots and I have acquired information as far back as my g-g-g grandparents. My g-g-g grandfather, Fred Senkpiel, married an Alvira Helgendorf. I am not sure of the correct spelling for the first name. My dad wrote this information on a piece of paper and his handwriting is as legible as a doctor's signature. I also don't know if Hilgendorf and Helgendorf are the same name but had just been changed over the past years. The birthdates for Fred Senkpiel and Alvira Helgendorf are unknown, as is the date of their marriage. I do know that they had 3 sons: Max Senkpiel, Gustave Senkpiel, and Paul Senkpiel (born: 3 Oct 1887). I don't know if I have any relation to any of you that have been posting messages. I just wanted to rule out this possiblity if I was heading in the wrong direction. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Katie Senkpiel
kmsweather@aol.com

Hilgendorf ancestor

I am trying to locate information on my great grandmother, Ulrike Hilgendorf who was born July 27, 1867. She married Gustave Plieth in 1889 and moved with her husband from Nebraska to Oregon in 1893. Any information would be appreciated.
