John D. Hilger married Josaphine Thomes, who was also from Arlington, MN. Josaphine was the older sister of my maternal grandmother, Mary Ann.
John D. and Josaphine did move to St. Paul, MN, after living in Mankato for a short time. There were 7 children with several of the children and grandchildren becoming physicians. The last child was Harry, who died at a young age.
