I have traced my family line to two brothers: William and Michael Hilgers, both born in the 1840s. The first census I have found them in is the 1880 Census in Ophir, Butte Co., CA.

I am interested in any info on the Hilgers family, especially the William Hilgers shown in the previous 1892 Census. He later married Anna Mrozek and lived in Washington State for many years. He and his family are listed in Lincoln County in 1910 and 1930 Census.
