Looking to correspond with anyone who has info on John Hilgert born abt 1807 in Germany who immigrated to Philadelphia and founded the Girard Sugar Company in Philadelphia, Penn. He died in 1881 and the company was put in control of his son Charles M Hilgert, b abt. 1848.
