I am researching the family of John Hilgert (b abt 1807) and Mary who came to Philadelphia sometime around between 1848 and 1853. The had the following kids

Adolf Hilgert b abt 1841
Isadore John Hilgert b abt 1841 believe he went by John
Charles M Hilgert b abt 1848
Franciscus/Francis b abt 1853
All of the kids were born in Italy with the exception of the youngest. I have quite a bit of information on most of the kids and the successive generations but still lacking quite a bit. Would like to hear from anyone researching this family line.

Does anyone have anything about him?

If he is in this line - it goes back to Johann Franz Hilgert who emigrated from Germany in 1751.

Traced my line to Johann Franz Hilgert born 2/1/1722 emmigrated from germany (have that info) and died 8/19/1797. He married an Anna Christina who was born 5/7/1725. They lived in upper mt bethel PA, have pics of gravestones (barely read). His son John Hilliard born 1765 is my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather.

I am looking for any possible information on Johann or any family members. Especially any military service and birthplace in germany.

Harvey Hilgert was living in East St Louis Illinois in 1926. He is the son of Joseph Hilgert & Racel Wilcox Hilgert. In 1926 his mother Racel died in St James Missouri. Her obituary lists her living children and where they were living. The obituary states that her son Harvey was living in East St Louis Illinois. I would be very interested to find out more about him. Joseph Hilgert was born December 6 1850 in Antwerp Belguim, he came to the United States in 1870 and married Rachel Wilcox in 1877 in Maryville Missouri. They had several children. He died on May 19 1913 in Rolla Missouri, and his wife Racel died October 11, 1926. Both are buried at St James Cemetery in St James Missouri just outside Rolla. Her name was Emelia Josephine Schenkel Hilgert. She was born in Germany and came to the United States between 1870 - 1880 I think. She married John J. Hilgert in Maryville Missouri and they made thier home in St Joseph Missouri. There they had three children Theodore, Leonora and Ernest. Her husband John died in St Louis after traveling there to have surgery of some sort. He developed complications and died that was in September 1899. He was only 37. I am mostly interested in when and where Emelia died and where she is buried.

My Great great Grandmother was a Hilgert. Her name was Christina Hilgert. Of the known siblings they include Philomena M Hilgert 1883-1962.If I was told correctly Philomena (Minnie ?) was a school teacher and became an invalid after she tried to save a couple of students from one of histories worst storms ever. I think she was 19 or so. Other siblings Dorthea and Cornelia and Anzelm. I believe Anzelm and Christina were the only ones to have children. I have located one of Anzelms children. He does not have much family info. Can anybody help me.

My mom remembers an Uncle Ernie that came to Oregon in the late 50's early 60's to visit. She said he was the District Attorney in St Louis. He was in his 80's at the time.
I am having a hard time connecting the Hilgerts.
I know I am related to Cornelia and Dorthy and Philomena ( I know them as THE AUNTIES) & Anslem Hilgert and his children.Micheal Hilgert. Does anybody have any info on any of his siblings ?
