Frederick Sheldon Hines would have been one of my great-great-grandfathers on my mother's side. I've seen one non-reliable source stating that he was hard of hearing. There is a proponderence of hearing loss on this side of my family, beginning(?) with my grandmother, her half-sister, my mother, several uncles, at least one aunt, and one of my nephews. I would be very much indebted to anyone who can shed any information on this quandry for me. Records in the early 1900's are scarce if not totally nonexistant in regards hearing issues.
