Please, having worked at genealogy for more than fifty years, NEVER LIMIT ONESELF TO NOT ANSWERING A QUERY BECAUSE
OF A VARIATION IN THE SPELLING OF THE NAME. Scribes wrote them down as they came4 off the boats initially, then as they had deeds, Wills, etc. written, the anglicizing became worse and the variations much worse.

I would like to hear from any and all descendants of James Hinkley and his wife, Jesse Butts Hinkley. Their names can either be Hinkley, Kinkly or Hinckley. New York, Michigan and Ohio in the late 1800s and Toledo in the early 1900s.
