Great Grandmothers maiden name was Lottie Hipshire and she was married to Albert Statler. Have not been able to track Hipshire any further back. They were believed to be from SW Michigan, possibly Baroda.

I am the great great granddaugter of Jonathon and Roseanna Hipshire. I have been to his grave in Van Wert Co., Ohio. My great grandmother Alice was one of their children that was put in the orphanage in Urbana, Ohio. I would be interested in communicating.

My greatgrandfather was John Hopshire and lived in Western Pennsylvania. His hame was believed to be something like Upshy, Upsky or Hopshy at some point, maybe in Europe??

I am looking for information on my g grandfather, Jonathon Hipshire. He was born in England in 1827. He emmigrated to the U.S., living in Van Wert County. at his death. He served as a Union soldier in the Civil war. He married Rseann Sotsenburger.
