I am searching for information on Leonard Hire. I know he was one of the early pioneers of Stokes County, North Carolina. He was the father of Jacob Hire who as born Jan 27, 1801 in Stokes County, North Carolina. Jacob was married to Barbara Ritter, also a native-born North Carolinian. Her father was Henry Ritter and she was born in the year 1804. Any information you can give me would be appreciated.
