November 13, 1819 near Dunkirk, Scotland. He married GRACE McCOMB, January 1840 - 1842. She was born July 12, 1819 near Dunkirk, Scotland. Arrived in America September 14, 1842 in the Port of New York on the ship Edward Thorne. (They settled in WI and then MN)
