Tim,

Saw a posting of yours on ancestry regarding the Hixenbaugh.

I am looking for information on this family.

My 2nd great grandfather on my Mothers side was named David Hanam b.1839 d.1917.

His death certificate lists his parents as Oliver P. Hanam and Mary Hixenbaugh both born in PA.

I found David Hanam living with the Smilie family in Fayette County in the 1850 census, which suggests he may have been orphaned or given up.

I found his enlistment record for the civil war and it lists his residence as Belle Vernon.

He also lived a good part of his life in Vanderbilt.

I found some records in the Citizen Library from a Belle Vernon doctors office that has two records for two of David Hanam and his wife, Elma Vernon's children being delivered by the doctor.

The Hanam named seems to frequently be misspelled so if you have anything even close, I would be interested.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rich
