Was your grandfather, Percival Frederick Hoadley, the son of Fredererick George Hoadley and the eldest brother of Winifred, Doris, Leslie and Florence?

Info from Percival's Attestation Paper 1916 into 173rd Highlanders C.E.F.
Born: Brighton, England
Date of birth: 5th Sept 1897
Next of kin: Wife, Annie, 5 Alberta Street, Hamilton, Ontario
Trade: Musician

His father Frederick George Hoadley was the son of Peter Hoadley, a master smith in Lewes, Sussex (like his father Thomas Hoadley and younger brother John Cephas Hoadley)

Peter Hoadley's youngest sister, Dorcas, was my wife Lorraine's great-grandmother

John Cephas Hoadley, his wife Margaret Catherine (nee Murray, born in St John, Newfoundland) Son John James Murray Hoadley age 3 and daughter Isabella Agnes Hoadley age 2, all died in the SS Atlantic disaster when the ship ran on to the rocks of Mars Island off Nova Scotia, 1873.
