John Stephen Hoar, Cañon City, CO, died March 27, 2004. He was born Feb. 27, 1958, in Hill City, Kan., to Edwin A. and Vesta Jean (Jones) Hoar. Mr. Hoar attended special education classes in the Hill City schools and then was a client at Kobler Center Workshop.
He moved to Cañon City with his parents in December of 1989. While he lived in Cañon City, he participated in many services and activities through Developmental Opportunities and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his parents; three sisters, Reta Martinez, Howard, Pat Pierce, and Kathy Pool; two brothers, Mike Hoar, and Jim Hoar; four nephews; four nieces; two grand-nieces; one grand-nephew and many friends and caregivers.
Mr. Hoar was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene Jones, Marjorie Shelton Jones Stephens, Frank Hoar, and May Ann Cron Hoar and step grandfather, Harold Stephens.
Burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
