Classification: Query
Surnames: Lichti, Hochstetler, Hochstetter
I was wondering if this person happens to strike a chord with anyone. She crops up in a branch of a tree that no-one seems to have done any research on.
She came to the US in 1889 (I *think* on the Canada, but I've never been able to confirm that), by which time she was already married to Christian Lichti. The family settled in Kansas initially, where she is recorded in various censuses as Babette Lichti and then Bertha Lichti and the family is indicated as being from Germany.
I'm not actually certain that I have her surname correct, but it seems a likely possibility. The maiden name transcribed from SSDI of one of her daughters is Mostettler, which I think is a transcription error, whereas another gives it as Hockstet (I'm going to post in the Hochstetter board as well since it's ambiguous). I strongly suspect it's one of the two.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Graham
