My great-great-great grandfather was Jacob Joseph Hock. He was born in 1849 at Hesse Domisted, Germany. He married Catherine Kenny (Kenney) on June 4, 1871 in New York. They had ten children: Mary Ann Hock, Joseph George Hock, Charlotte Catherine Hock, Reuben Benjamin Hock, John William Hock, Benjamin Hock, Josephine Hilda Hock, Theresa Geneviene Hock, and Henry Hock.
Jacob Joseph Hock died on February 2, 1890. He is buried in Hook and Ladder Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
