HOCKENSMITH – Mrs. Meta E., 91, Boswell R.D. 3, died Feb. 4, 1987, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born June 21, 1895, in Johnstown, daughter of William and Bertha (Roland) Pfefferkorn. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Alma Robertson; and grandson, Kenneth C. Airsman. Survived by husband, O. C.; daughters, Gwyanetha, wife of Elvin C. Friedline, Boswell R.D. 3, and Vivian, widow of Carl E. Airsman, Boswell R.D. 2; and grandson, Dale Airsman, married to former Lymora Magner, Somerset R.D. 3. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Member of Horner Lutheran Church. Observed 73rd wedding anniversary Oct. 22, 1986. Former member of Jenner Grange. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Richard A. Schlak. Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
