I am trying to trace a very elusive ancestor,
Amos Hodges, by grasping at straws in any direction. This man was born in SC,
his son, born in MS, married a Price, who's father was also born in SC.
I am wondering if these families travelled together, and perhaps are c
connected, or the same as the Hodges/Price families that you have info
on travelling from VA to SC.
Any extra info you have might be helpful.
My Price in SC was born in Richland Co, and a large number of his family moved to MS.
As for the Hodges, I am not sure where they came from in SC, but one of them may have been
an Edmund/Edmond married to Martha, and their children, siblings, etc.
As near as I can figure, these people came to MS from SC shortly before 1820, though they may not have all come at once.
Any leads from anyone would be GREATLY appreciated--old Amos is making us crazy looking for him!
