I am the grandaughter of Ernst Hoeft born De. 20, 1870 who married Ida Laars in 1894. She was born Dec. 13, 1873.
Ernst was born in Strelno, Posen. His brother Frank and sister Ernestine were born there also. He had one half brother Carl born ast Sachow. (He was son of Christian and Justine Maash. Marie, Augusta were born there too but Christian had remarried after Justine died to Augusta Hagen born 3/3/1854 at Jardickendorf. She was the daughter of Christopher and Mary Hagen. . They must have moved to Neuendorf when Julius was born in 1861 and to Roerchen in 1863 where August, Emilie and Herman were born.
Christian was the son of Martin and Dorothea (nee Fritz) born at Beyersdorf.

We think Martin had a brother Carl and possibly a Christoph and Frederick. Does anyone have any Hoeft or Hoft ancestors from those areas? Christian came over in 1883 with the three youngest. The others came in 1882, 1881, 1883 and 1890. My e-mail address is lovesaddlebreds@hotmail.com.
