I would like to know the relation between Allen Morris of Sampson County and Zebulon Hollingsworth. In 1820, Allen appears to be without a wife and has one male child. In 1823 there is a court case in Sampson, Allen Morris vs Zebulon Hollingsworth. I do not know the particulars. Joseph Carroll who married Edith Hollingsworth, daughter of Zebulon, named a son Allen Morris Carroll. Allen was born in 1820.
Could Allen Morris have married a daughter of Zebulon?
Perhaps she died before the 1820 census and Allen Morris was in court as the widower of a daughter of Zeb?
