I am researching a Lavonia(?) Holliman (?)that married Fredrich R. Brassart in 1869 in Calvert, Tx. She was born in Georgia and died in 1896 in Texas. Cannot locate any info on her family.

Mary Elector Hollomon Brechears (1877/1959)

Looking for ancestors of subject. Mary married(date unk) William Henry Brechears. They had seven children. Their son Stanley Hollomon is my grandfather.They are buried in Sanders Chapel Cemetery (Obion Cty). I haven't found Mary's parents,but feel they are from Kenton/Mason Hall areas of Obion Cty, TN. One of their children lived,married and died in this area. I've found a few Hollomon families in Mason Hall/Kenton area, but do not find a child Mary.Does anyone have info on my Mary?

There is a Nichols buried in the Hollomon cemetery near the Masonhall community in Obion County. My GGG Grandfather was James Nichols, who owned land around Masonhall in 1850.

Searching for a cecil or emma holliman from georgia. They were suppose to of had a plantation outside of Atlanta. Cecil was to have died in the Civil War and Emma went to Texas. They had a daughter named Lavonia that got married in 1869 in Calvert ( Robinson County) Texas to a Fredrick Brassart. She died in 1896 in Denison ( Grayson County) Texas. I cannot find anything on Cecil or Emma.

Just noticed your posting.
Matilda Jane born 1 Feb 1827 and John B. bca 1834 (my records) were two of ten children born to Thomas Hollomon and his wife Sintha. Thomas was (in all probability) the son of Samuel and Christine.

Albert (Pound/s) Hollomon

Looking for relatives of Albert Holloman. He was born 1918 as Albert Pound(s) near
Dooly or Houston Co. Georgia. His Father was Albert Henry Pound and Mother was
Mary/Molly(?) Holloman/Hollomon, but he was raised by his Uncle Charlie Holloman. Had a cousin
Gervis/Gurvis Holloman. He moved from GA as an adult and died in 1981 in place
unknown to me, possibly Ohio. Any help would be greatly appreciated! He was
my Great Uncle, and I would like to meet any of his close kin.

John Hollomon, born 1836 in North Carolina

I'm seeking to find the parents of John and Matilda Jane Hollomon. John was born May 5, 1836,and Jane about 1827, both in North Carolina. I suspect they lived in Hertford and/or Bertie Counties, as Jane was married in Hertford County 6-17-1849 (to Reuben Barnes) and one of Jane's daughters born in Bertie County. Both moved to Indiana in the late 1850's. John's children include Peter Sherman, Emily Luella, William C., Nora E., Sarah E and two daughters that died young.

I have just found out that my gggmother, Sarah Ellen Nichols, b. 1838, and her brother, James Harvey Nichols, b. 1840, were orphaned in 1844-1845 in Obion Co. TN, and given into the guardianship of John Hollimon in Jan. 1845. The records state that their father was William Nichols. Does anyone recognize any of these names? Thanks...Pat

James Albert Hollomon, MS to IA, son of Steven Henry Hollomon

James was born February 16, 1886 in Quitman, Clarke Co, MS. He died December 02, 1963 in Boone, Iowa and worked for the railroad for many years. His Mother was Abira Bradley, b October 06, 1854 in SC, and died January 16, 1927, in Boone County, IA. His Father was b May 02, 1849 in Smith Co, MS and died May 2, 1903.

In June 1914, he married Marguerite (Marge) Jones (eloped on a train) of DeSoto, Clarke Co, MS. Her obit in the Clarke County Tribune:
"HOLLOMAN, J. A., Mrs., (no age, date) [CCT, 17 May 1963]
Mrs. J. A. HOLLOMAN of Boone, Iowa, passed away enroute to her home after visiting the Vern SPICKARDS in DeSoto and other friends and relatives in Quitman, Laurel, and Hattiesburg."

James' siblings were:
Ira C. Holliman or Hollimon b September 16, 1892
Slater Eugene Holloman or Hollimon b October 29, 1897
Susie Elizabeth Holliman or Hollimon b April 29, 1895

Have a Luther Hollomon, son of James P. Hollomon and Eliz.
Ann Alston: b02 June 1875 in Hertford County NC. Married Mary lived a while in Durham, NC. Married a girl from Fuqua Springs. A Luther J. Hollomon married Lizzie Mitchell in Hertford County 5 April 1900. Don't know if its one or two Lurthers.

Waylon Hollomon or Holloman and Amie Dee

I am in search of information on grandfather Waylon Hollomon or Holloman and his wife, my grandmother Amie Dee, nee Harrison. He was of mixed race, she African American. He may have been born in North Carolina. He was said to have a sister named Candace with many children. He and Amie Dee who was from Virginia eventually settled in Baltimore where they both passed away in that state. He died in 1952, she in 1967. Their children were Mary, Hester, Maggie and Joanna. Maggie and Joanna are still living. He was employed for 39 years at the Bethelem Steel company at Sparrow Point in Baltimore, Md.

I am in search of info about my great grandfather. His name was Waylon Hollomon. He had 2 sisters Hester and Canadace. All of them are deceased but they may have had more relatives or siblings in the state. They are of french and Native American descent.

I may have a little info about this for you.
My Grgrandfather was Thomas Jefferson Hollomon from Kerrville....one of his brothers was William Levi Hollomon and William's wife was Zelpha Corn. He was born Jan. 04, 1847 and his parents were George Robert Hollomon,Sr. (b. 1818; d. 11-13-1884) and Phoebe Fincher Hollomon (b. 2-18-1824; d. 3-12-1899). He was from Tennessee, she was from North Carolina. Both are buried at the Hollomon Cemetery in Kerrville, Texas..don't really know any more than this....

I'm not familiar with "black tongue"...what is that??
I'm sorry I don't have anything on the children of William Levi and Zelpha Corn. Have you had any success anywhere else??

I am searching for A Female "Corn" who married a Hollomon(Hollimon) they lived in Kerrville Co.,Tx. and moved to Az. between 1880-1898. The children I know of that they had were Cordie(Perhaps Cordelia),Mamie(Mary),
Dorothy(Dottie),Lucille,Belle, the sons I do not know. Mamie was my ggrandmother. Mamie married William Clarence Davis his Ggrand parents
were Elijah(Elisha)and Phoebe Davis.

My mother's grandfather was Luther Holliman/Hollomon(?) from somewhere in the same area (Edenton/Elizabeth City). She was adopted by a second cousin and doesn't know much about her maternal birth line. I am just beginning to gather information.
