My G Grandmother was Catherine HOLLYWOOD, daughter of James HOLLYWOOD & (I think) Mary O'NEIL. Catherine was born Carrive, Parish of Forkhill, Co. Armagh and married James KERLEY in 1882 before they left for Queensland, Australia. In 1881 Census they were at Masbrough, England. Catherine HOLLYWOOD and James KERLEY's marriage certificate says Catherine's father was already deceased. The name of a witness is Patrick HOLLYWOOD. A brother? Catherine was the mother of my Grandfather, Patrick Lawrence KERLEY. She died when he was aged 2 and within 11 days of giving birth to a daughter, also called Catherine. My grandfather, Patrick Lawrence KERLEY remarried. In 1881 (Census) James KERLEY was "lodging" with Catherine O'Neil, widow, aged 73, born Armagh. Catherine O'Neil also had a son, James, born Armagh, aged 22 living at her house, 10 Lyme St., (Census Place: Kimberworth, York, England) . Catherine was at Doncaster Road Hospital & Dispensary, Census Place: Rotherham, York, England, employed as a Servant.
