Annie Hollywood 1879 - Thomas Smith 1879.
They were married 31st Dec 1896 in St Marys Old Monkland.

Thomas's brother James married my G/Aunt Anne Bennett
10th June also in St Mary's Old Monkland.

Annie was born in Calder Lanarkshire Scotland. And was my Grandmothers( Mary 1866) sister.

My sister used to go out with a Paddy Hollywood from Dundalk, Ireland. She is now in her 60s. He emigrated to america.

Hi Barbara,
I see that my old Job had daughters Mary and Eliza with the same birth years that you mentioned, so I think our Jobs must be the same person.
Still checking around here.
I noticed a sort of unusual time spread in the 1st Jobs children, with the first one born in 1825 and the last born 1846, with an 11 year gap between James and Mary. So maybe there are step-children involved.
The more I try to figure this all out the more confused I become. I wish I had documented where I got the info that I have.

Job (1) my gggrandfather b. May 10, 1812 in Antrim, m. June 3, 1842 in Clachan of Campsie, Stirling, Scotland married by Rev. James Brown Minister of the Relief Congregation Lennoxtown - Janet ROSS b.1809 in Stirling, Scotland

they had child Job (2) my ggrandfather b.Sept 7, 1844 in Campsie, Stirling, Scotland m. Feb 5, 1867 in Belfast Jane LOCKHART b. 1845 in Ireland In this generation besides your 3 brothers, I have Eliza b. 1846, and Mary b. 1841, then James b. 1830, Francis b. 1827, and John b. 1825 all born in Ireland possibly all in Portadown, Armagh, Ireland. I see where he would have been 12 when John was born, although he could have married twice and they could be step children. ????

Hi, my grandmother was Elizabeth Hollywood. She married Edward Fearon Nov. 10, 1895 Portadown, Northern Ireland. She was born Apr. 1875 and died Feb. 1950. I am trying to locate the name of her parents for my genelology. Hope you can help.

I show my Job, the earliest in my Hollywood tree, being born in 1800, in Ireland. I am not sure where I got that infol. I am going to have to start keeping track of that sort of thing.
I show my Jobs oldest kid born in 1825 and the youngest in 1846. Your Job would only have been about 13 at the time, young, even for the Irish!
But they do have the same siblings.
From looking at the dates involved it looks like I may have 2 generations under my Job listed together. All of this gets more confusing as I look at it.
Do you have any other generations either before or after your Job?
The son of Job in my line is Francis, and I am pretty sure he was born in County Armagh, Ireland, as are the rest of his decendents. Francis was married to Mary Ann England.
Maybe they were cousins or something, if not the same person.
I'll let you know if I find documentation my my info, and would appreciate it if you would let me know of any other leads you may have on this line of the family.

I think I am related to your Job. I have him born 1812 in Antrim. Besides the three sons you mention there is a fourth son, also Job, my line, who was born 1844 in Campsie, Scotland and 2 daughters, Mary and Eliza. Is it possible that my info is correct? I probably got Job's info from ancesty.com. My Job was married to Janet Ross from Campsie.

My GG-grandfather was Job Hollywood, born in Ireland in 1800. Maybe he is an ancestor of your Job.

Job's sons were Francis, born in 1826, John, b.1825, and James, b. 1830.

Joseph, b.1849, my grandfather, was the son of Francis. Francis also had sons Thomas, George, and Samuel.

Josephs daughter Rose was my grandmother. His sons were James, Joseph, John, and John Matthew. John was born in 1876. I suspect he died young since John Matthew was born in 1893. Maybe there is a connection somewhere there.

I am also tying to trace the Hollywoods of Portadown. My grandmother was Rose, daughter of Joseph. I got back to Job, born in 1800, but have no parents, wife or siblings for him. If you happen to have any other info I would appreciate knowing about it. Thanks.

Did I ever answer your query about Phil Hollywood's email address? I probably have it somewhere, but you can find him on the web. He lives in Thailand. He was the captain of a fishing both or a tour boat, but I think he's retired now.

I've been searching without much success for possible descendants of a John Hollywood of Halifax, Nova Scotia, who was born approximately in 1833 - likely in Ireland.

I know that he was the son of a John Hollywood and Bridget Murphy and that he married an Angeline Catherine Bissett - twice. They were first married in an Anglican church in Halifax on 26 Nov 1865 and a second time at a Roman Catholic Church in Halifax on 7 Jun 1868. I know that Angeline Catherine Bissett was baptised a Protestant and I assume that the second marriage was due to her conversion to her husband's religion. Angeline Catherine Bissett died in Nova Scotia on 27 Apr 1873.

she also had brothers Joseph(1883)James(1886)Catherine(1890)and John(1893).
Rose's grandfather was Francis, b.1828, married 1st to Mary Ann England, having children Thomas(1848), Joseph(1849), Ann Jane(1852) and George(1852). Francis then married Margaret Fleming and they had children Samuel(1865), Margaret(1867) and Thomas(1874).
Francis's father, like his son, was a shoemaker, born about 1800, spouse unknown. They had children John(1825), Francis(1828), James(1830), Mary(1841) and Eliza(1846).
Rose also had a sister that became a nun, serving in Spain with the name Sister Syra.
Any information on this part of the Hollywood family would be greatly appricated.
