Rose HOLMEN, 55, of Jackson, formerly of Windom, died June 2, 2002, at her home in Jackson.

Services were held Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jackson with Rev. John Holt and Dr. Martin Lucin officiating.

Special music was provided by Melynda Tracey, organist; and Linda Handevidt, soloist.

Casketbearers were Sys Phaly, Curtis Sohn, Randy Boyer, Richard Sohn, Bob Herman Jr., and Charles Sohn.

Interment was at Hauges Cemetery in Belmont Township of Jackson County.

Sathe-Osterberg Funeral Home of Jackson was in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Rose Ann LENTZ was born April 4, 1947, to Martin and Clara (FLINT) LENTZ in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She attended Winfair Elementary School in Windom before graduating from Mt. Lake High School in 1965. She graduated from Jackson Vocational and Technical School in 1967.

She married Donald HOLMEN at American Lutheran Church in Windom in 1967. She worked at State Bank in Worthington before the moved to Minneapolis. A year later, they moved to Windom.

After a move to Lewisville, Rose ran a daycare business for 12 years.

They returned to Jackson where she worked for Belmont Manor and later as a receptionist at Hedenquist Motors until 1998. She also was an office assistant at Cozy Heat in Lakefield.

Rose was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jackson.

She enjoyed camping, reading, waterfalls and lighthouses.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Glen LENTZ.

Survivors include her husband, Donald HOLMEN of Jackson; a son and daughter Dave HOLMEN and Jen (Dan) WENDLAND, all of Columbia Heights; two granddaughters; two brothers, Alfred (Valerie) LENTZ of Jackson and John (Chris) LENTZ of Claremont; two sisters, Darlene (Verlin) CHELSEY of Dodge Center and Susan LaMASTER of Claremont; and a foster brother, Bob (Betty) HERMAN of Wilder.
