Captain and Mrs., Holsapple of LeClaire are celebrating their golden wedding today at the home of their daughter, Mrs. T. L. Hall, 1713 Main street, Davenport. The golden wedding dinner served this afternoon is attended by about sixty relatives and friends, thirty-five of whom are from out of the city. Captain and Mrs. Holsapple are the recipients of numerous gifts in honor of the occasion, chiefly gold money, and including a $50 gold piece from their children. Letters and telegrams are coming in all day from friends in the city and vicinity who are sending good wishes. Captain Holsapple is in charge of the U. S. steamer "Ruth," having been its captain for the past 23 years. He has been a captain on Mississippi river boats for 47 consecutive years.
