I am researching the family of Jacob Holstein, who married Catherine Strador/Strator on Feb 19, 1780 in Granville County, North Carolina. Jacob's will is dated October 10, 1794 and proved Nov 1794 in Granville. Jacob apparently died after only 14 years of marriages, so all of his children were underage. His will names his wife Catherine and oldest son John, and also names "well beloved sons" and daughters, but not by name. I am looking for information on how the land and goods were divided once the children became of age, and if they were then named. Jacob was willed 280 acres of land and the plantation by his father Nicholas Holstein in his will of 1769, and then in Jacob's will he states he "bequeaths to Catherine my dearly beloved wife my land till my oldest son becomes of age. Then to be equally divided amongst my well beloved sons and to my oldest son John my shot gun...."

Any help in this regard is appreciated. I am trying to connect this Jacob Holstein to my direct ancestor Nicholas Holstein/Holston who was born to settlers of North Carolina per a family biography. My Nicholas was married to Rebecca Slight on June 16, 1812 in Jessamine County, KY but lived in Floyd County, Indiana with his family. Nicholas could be a son of this Jacob Holstein, being named for Jacob's father Nicholas. I just need to find the names of the children of Jacob and Catherine to prove it.
