I just found a new online bookstore that gives away FREE SEARCHABLE CD-ROM with the purchase of any family history book, they have over 20,000 titles to choose from, I just tought that I will pass it along to you.

I would like know if you are related to my family. My great grandfather is from St. Mary's County, Maryland his name was
Carroll Ignatius Holton,
Grandfathers name was Carroll Ignatius Hoton
Aunt Ruth and Margaret Holton
Uncle Raymond, Danny, Howard Holton
There are few more in the immediate family but I can not remember their names at this time. It is a very large family.

Do you have any information about Holtons in Canada? I am the granddaughter of Bernard Holton (1924-2008) OF Winnipeg, Mantioba. He is the son of Patrick Holton and Rosalie Rast. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

hi my name is tina (hoton) johnson and i am researching my holton line and i am a little stuck and hopefully you will have the missing link. i am related to alexander holton who married clarissa denham. i am trying to find out who his father is. he was born September 17, 1824 ky and died November 12, 1888 in ohio. i know he is burried at greenlawn cemetery and i have been there. now there is an alexander holton born 1776 in va. died April 28, 1806 in mason co ky. and he married sarah hieatt born 1777 and died 1871. now here comes the hard part. in almost everything i come across it state that alexander and sarah had only 3 children, sarah, mary, and lewis. now on her will she states that she had the following children sarah, mary, lewis and alexander. i show an alexander who went to ohio in 1812 and lived in tate township on the boyd (used to be the blair) family farm where the old orchid was. okay now could the alexander son of alexander and sarah be the father of alexander and clarissa? i can not find how to tie these two families together. oh please if you have any info on these families could you please contact me back. i have been working so hard to solve this mystery. oh i just found that a sara hieatt married a john whipps 23 sept 1807. now whatr if she did remarry and john and her son alexander did not get along that would be cause for him to move to ohio right? well i am babbling so sorry i get so wrapped up in this and cant quit. well please if you have any info i would greatly appreciate it.

I cannot seem to find Lewis Holton in any records. I have tried the 1790 & 1800 census, but he just doesn't show up.

My name is Janet Holton, I think there is a possibility we could be related. My father is Alvin George Holton. I believe he may be the George Holton you have on your tree. One of the son's of George and Elizabeth. Can you tell me more about Elizabeth?? Do you know where she is from. My grandmother is from Canada. She is part Indian. I don't remember the tribe. My father pasted away in 1991. We are from Wayne County, I have met a few of my cousins but don't remember their names. If we are talking about the same George Holton. My Grandfather owned a house in River Rouge, Mi. Just outside South of Detroit.

I am Janet Holton, my father was Alvin George Holton, I can't remember my grandfather's name. My grandmother past away either when I was very young or before I was born. What I know about her is that she was from Canada and of Indian ancestry. My mother was Ruth Elenor Oakley both her parents lived into their 80's. My mother had 2 brothers and 4 sisters. I don't know much about my father's family. I am looking for members of my family on both sides. But mostly on my father's since I don't remember that much about them.

Hi Rose, I'm looking for information on Sarah Jane Holton's mother. Her name and birthplace, cause of death, burial site, etc. I think she may be buried in Evergreen, Colorado, but I need a name for research. All I have is Taylor, as a last name and New Jersey or New York as a birthplace, none of which is confirmed. Sarah Jane is my g-grandmother also. She married my mother's grandfather, John Milton Powers.

I came across this post in my research today. I am researching Alexander Holton (b. abt 1833, Pennsylvania). The things I know for sure are that he married a Melissa Camburn/Cambern (b. abt 1847, New York) and that they were living in Fillmore Township (later Lanesboro), Fillmore County, Minnesota by the time of the 1880 US Federal Census. I have found a listing for an Alexander Holton in Wayne Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania that looks promising but not knowing the names of Alexander's siblings, I am unable to verify whether this is 'my' Alexander. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I have more info on Alexander's children, etc., if interested. Thanks!!

Looking for some help. Thomas George Holton b.1825, wife Mary (cannot find maiden name) b. @1832-1838. Immigrated from Ireland in 1858. Had 8 children, 7 lived. In age order they are: John, Elizabeth, Lawrence, Annie, Mary, Katie and Thomas George Jr. Most of the family is buried in Milwaukee, at Calvary Cemetary. There is a rather large headstone for the family. I could use some help even some suggestions of good searches. I keep coming up with info I already have. Thanks!

Hello my name is Demetria Sutton I'm the daughter of Tina Marie Ringwleski who was adopted in 1957 in California, records show that her mothers maiden last name is Holton and fathers last name is Bazan. Her grandfather from her mothers side was also in the armed forces. So far this is all we have other than batizmal records. We are trying now to get recoords unsealed as it was a closed adoption.
