Classification: Query
Surnames: Holz, Holtz, Maass, Borchard, Solveson, Schulz, Bonak, Wittke, Graap, Leslie
Abt 1880 Ludwig Holz/Holtz came to Wisconsin with his wife Henriette nee Maass Holz, and his two youngest daughters, Alwine/Alvina, abt 19 yrs and Emma who was only 9. They lived their son Friedrich Herman Holz and his wife Alwine/Alvina nee Plumbeck or Plambeck in Watertown, WI and then near Merrill, WI. until about 1909. Fred and Alwine moved to Fort Ripley, MN just south of Brainerd, MN. after his parent's deaths. Ludwig had other children that came to the US from Prussia. They were August, Amalie, Bertha, Carl and Wilhelmine aka Minnie. Alvina was married to a Borchard and then to Carl A. Solveson.
Amalie married August F. Schulz, Bertha married Anton Bonak and I believe a Wittke and Minnie was married to a Carl Graap. Most stayed in WI, but for Amalia and August Schulz who also moved to Fort Ripley. Emma married a gent by the name of S.W. Leslie.
If anyone has any information on any of my relatives, would greatly appreciate any information you have and would be glad to share what I have found so far. Thanks
