MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Lorraine A. Holtz, 90, of Muscatine, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Unity Hospital.
The Rev. Walden Askren will officiate. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Walnut Park Baptist Church
Mrs. Holtz was born Nov. 18, 1917, in Chicago, the daughter of William and Anna (Rienke) Buchholz.
She married Edward Holtz Jan. 2, 1948, in Chicago. He died in 2002.
She worked as a private registered nurse in the Muscatine area and was a member of the Walnut Park Baptist Church, serving as choir director for 25 years.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with and cooking for her children and grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by two daughters, Cheryl Holtz of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lynn Edgington of Des Moines; a daughter-in-law, Amy Mineart of Muscatine; six grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin, Caleb and Thaddeus Holtz, Jessica Mineart and Jennifer Edgington; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, David Holtz; and three brothers.
