Hom or Homes Family

Looking for information on the Hom(Homs) family that emmigrated to the USA around 1906 from North East Germany, Dubno Poland or possibly Russia. Immigration changed the name to Hom, and the some of the family had it legally changed to Homes to make it easier for Americas to spell. People still add an "L" to the name. What I know:
Daniel William Hom came from "Ranhetz" Russia
married a Willhelmina Weiss born in Dubno, Poland. According to stories I heard, they to America around 1906 through Detroit?, and then settle in Kenosha, Wis. Wilhelmina Weiss naturalized in 1937 and put her Country of origin or allegience as Poland. My Grandfather Edward was the first child born in America, and was one of the family that had his name changed to HOMES from Hom. Some of his brothers and sisters kept the name Homs. If you have any information, or know where I can find information. Please let me know. Thank you very much.

Don
