Hello. Someone has gotten me thinking about my ancestors, Thomas HUTCHINSON and "Betsey" HOMER, who married in West Cambridge, MA, in ~1813. I have been researching the HUTCHINSON family for 15+ years, based on notes of that family ~1900. But, the HOMER ancestors are a mystery.

Betsey's parents were (Capt.) Jacob HOMER (b~1760 MA) and Elizabeth LORING (b~1766 MA). This month I have found out that there is at least one "LORING book," and Elizabeth seems to be the daughter of David LORING and Elizabeth FAIRSERVICE. (David descended from Thomas.)

But, I've been searching on-line this morning, and I'm not finding information on Jacob's parents. Does anyone know who his parents were?

I did find on-line that there was a Jacob HOMER born later in the 1770's in Boston, MA (?). There is a posting about him on-line.

Were there 2 HOMER families in the early 1700's? Or, was there one family with several HOMER sons?
