I am looking for anyone who may have connections to the John HOMER family that emigrated to the U.S. about 1855. He and his family settled in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA.

John HOMER was born about 1819 in Dorset Co., England. His father appears to have been John HOMER born in Corfe Castle, Dorset Co., England son of Benjamin HOMER.

John married first Jane BONFIELD in Swanage, Dorset Co. His second wife was Susannah CHINCHIN whom he married in Portsea, Hampshire. She emigrated with him and died soon after their arrival in U.S. He then married Mary YARNELL.

Most of the family moved to Utah in 1876. The older children stayed in PA.

Ephraim born 1857 in PA
Mary Jane born 1858 in PA married a VINCENT
James born 1859 in PA
Charles born 1861 in PA
William born 1863 in PA
John born 1866 in PA

it would appear that he also had a daughter named Elizabeth born in England as there is one in the 1860 census with the family. She is listed as a surviving sister of Ephraim when he died in 1926. She married Benjamin JONATHAN before 1870.
