John J. Adair, son of William and Rebecca (Herald) Adair, is the 3rd of 3 boys and 2 girls, and was born Nov 25, 1817. His parents were natives of VA and in 1817 immigrated to Warren Co. KY with 17 other families headed by John Penner, who took up 1,700 acres of land on which they all settled. Mrs. Rebecca Adair was a daughter of John Herald (sic) who married a Miss HONAKER, and came to KY (Warren Co.)from VA in 1817. In the 1820 Warren Co., KY census there is a William Adair, John Harrald, John Honaker and Robert Herald. I have been told that John Penner married Anna Honaker, daughter of Hans Jacob Honaker, in 1792 in Wythe Co.,VA - they led the 17 families to Warren Co.

I am looking for any information about the Miss HONAKER who married John Herald/Harrald/Harrell. I am told there is no such Honaker mentioned in the book "Honaker Family in America". Please reply to my email tbar@srv.net .
