I stumbled upon this post and even though the last post was several years ago, I felt compelled to respond. I live in the old stone Honaker house in Draper, VA and am a descendant of the Honakers. The house and adjoining farm have remained in my family since it was built. Hans Jacob may have bought the land that the house is built upon (I'm unsure from history I have read), but his son Henry definitely built the house. The stone part was built in 1804 and the frame part was added later. I purchased the home after my grandfather's death in 2008 and have been renovating the homeplace since. My grandfather was the nephew of Blance and Bettie Honaker. They were referred to as the aunts and one of them would have been the Honaker still living in the home in the 70s (referred to in an earlier post) The Honaker Association held it's reunion in Pulaski County and visited the house this summer (2011). The directions listed in the earlier post are accurate. They also visited when I was a girl and my grandparents lived in the home.
