Honeycutt/Hunnicutt DNA project

Classification: Query
Surnames: Hunnicutt, HONEYCUTT
I just sent in my father's YDNA (37 markers) to the FamilyTreeDNA Honeycutt (various spellings) project. There are only 3 other Honeycutts in the project. I have been at my Hunnicutt "brickwall" after 25 years of research. My earliest ancestor, Joseph Hunnicutt, b. before 1805 in NC or VA might be the son of Dempsey and Rutha Honeycutt or not. Dempsey was supposed to be very prolific, both legitimate and illegitimate children. Any male Honeycutt (any spelling)out there willing to participate in the Honeycutt/Hunnicutt familytreeDNA project so we can start a database of YDNA comparisons? YDNA is father to son only. Maybe we can narrow down where William Huncote really came from. Wouldn't that be fun? Bonnie Lee
