I am looking for info about Mathew Honeycutt, b. abt 1810. He is possibly the son of Elisha Honeycutt and Sarah Morton. He married Lydia Phillips (last name from daughters' death certificates) and they were the parents of Mariah Francis b. 1842; Sallie b. 1844; and Lydia b. 1850. It is POSSIBLE (not proven yet) that they are also the parents of Jacob Levi b. 1837 married Catherine Peninger; and Joicy b. 1834 married Christopher Moose.
I found a member tree on ancestry by cwhoneycutt but am unable to contact him or her. Please contact me with any additional information about this family.
My husband is GG grandson of Christopher Moose and Catherine Honeycutt, married 1871 in Cabarrus, and I am trying to find Catherine's maiden name. I believe she may be the widow of Jacob Levi Honeycutt. Christopher Moose married Joicy Honeycutt (her name was from 2 of her children's death certificates) Christopher and Joicy lived with Mathew and Lydia Honeycutt in 1860 census; Mathew Honeycutt is listed as executor on Jacob Levi's probate record. C Honeycutt is living next to Christopher and Joicy in 1870 census.
Thanks for any help.
