Hello All:
I tired emailing James Honold, but his email came back dead. Anyway, I would like to get in touch with him because my grandmother was a Honold who lived in Sheboygan, WI. I remember her also talking about family connections in Louisiana, too. I believe that she left behind an extensive family tree that I can access, as well. So if anyone knows how to get ahold of James or of anyone else wants any of the info I have, email me at charh@execpc.com
Thanks,
Charlotte
Honold in Missouri

Hi,
On a recent trip through central Missouri, in the tiny town of Beaufort, we're driving along, and all of a sudden I see a small, old-time hardware store called Honold Hardware. I made my husband pull over to go inside and ask about the name (since I have Honolds in my family tree and it's such an unusual name). Don't know yet if there's a connection to my family, since I haven't had much time for genealogy, but here's what I found, if it might help someone else:
-Charles Honold was owner of the hardware store, he died around 1952, the hardware store still bears his name, the current owners are somehow connected to Charles through marriage.
-Charles' father was Jake Honold.
-Jakes' father was likely Christopher Honold.
If you need more info, I'd get in touch with Honold Hardware in Beaufort.
Thanks,
Charlotte Haase Dey - new email address fall 2005 (chardey18@sbcglobal.net, former email charh@execpc.com)

This is really cool that there are so many Honold's in the US. Iam looking for information about my great-grandparents Charlie Aarena Honold, who lived moved to Arkansas in the 19th century. They migrated here from Northern Indiana (South Bend and Mishawaka area). I hope that is thee correct spelling. When I was a kid, I thought the Honold family existed in California, Arkansas, and Indiana. My great grandfather was buried at Clifton Cemetary in Dallas County and Great grandmother at Ouachita Cemetary in Arkadelphia,Arkansas. Our family now is mainly in Malvern, Arkansas Anyone who has any info on the Honold Family in Arkansas during the 19th and 20th Century,I would love to hear from you.

I remember Grandma Martha Honold telling me how she met my Grandpa Henry "Hank" Honold in Sheboygan while she was going to school for teaching and he "Hank" worked the ship yards. Anyway, I know were all related somehow, and if there is more outstanding info, especially of us here in Wisconsin, send it on!!

I accessed the FamilyHistory.com site through a the Daily Digest from PC World dated 1st April 1999. I discovered listings for "Honold" and "Honnold". From conversation with family members many years ago, I recall the double "n" spelling is common in San Francisco.

Aunt Laura Wiemann, sister of Henry William Honold, my late father, collected some history about the Honold family from a relative in Florida. It dated back to the 13th Century in France, progressed to Italy and next to Germany - Stuttgart. My grandparents - Honold & Lutz - immigrated to the USA, arrived through New York & New Orleans, and resided in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

I was born in April, 1942. I have a sister, who married into the Kroll family of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and who lives in Greendale, Wisconsin.

I reside in the Republic of Botswana.

I am interested to learn more about the Honold family's history.

Best Regards . . .

Matthews are descendants of Florence Matthews and Harry Nahnsen. Frieda and Mary Meyer married into the Nahnsen family in 1880's. I am looking for the people who may have the old copies of the round robin letters which circulated the relatives in the 60's. Then they printed the book. I am looking for the descendaents of all these people descended from the Meyer and nahnsen's in hopes they can help me figure out where everyone has moved to so I can track this information that may have been in the letters but not put into the book. for instance the military record of Jurgen Heinrich Friedrich----i have the informtion, but I doubt it was put into the book. I want the information I do not have.!!
I am also looking for a particular descendant located in Martin county--Fairmont Minnesota related to William Meyer And knew of Friedrick Meyer and the railroad accident.etc.
I would appreciate any help I can get.
