I am looking for more information on a Jan Hoed (I believe he may have been Dutch). My family has reason to believe that we may be descendants of him. I understand that there is a book out there (a family history book) about a Jan Hoed. I do not know the exact title, but would be interested in getting ahold of a copy if anyone knows where I could find it.

I have an ancestor named John Hood (B-About 1785, M- 3 Feb 1809 to Keziah Lane), who lived in northeastern TN, who may have been a descendant of Jan Hoed. I understand that the family changed the spelling of their name
after moving to the United States.

Any information you could give me would be appreciated.
