Chleada “Peanuts” Hoopingarner Pearson, 74, of Terre Haute died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, in Royal Oaks Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was employed as a housekeeper.
She was born Oct. 16, 1931, in Terre Haute to Wayne F. Hoopingarner and Chleada F. Kindred. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Pearson, in 1999.
Survivors include three sons, Donald R. Pearson, Kevin L. Pearson and Brian A. Pearson and wife Tina; two daughters, Donna M. Pearson and Lynne A. Stout and husband Ron; one sister, Mary Jo Melvin; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by one son, Wayne E. Pearson, in 1978. She was a loving and giving person. She loved her pets, wildflowers, playing cards and loved to read.
Mass of Christian Burial is 2 p.m. Friday in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, with the Rev. Darvin Winters officiating. Burial is in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today in Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, with a rosary service at 7 p.m.
