I am currently looking for the descendants of John Regis Hoops who is the son of Henry Hammond Hoops, the minor league baseball player, and challenger of world class bicyclists who also had a brother by the name of Albert Hoops.

Henry Hammond Hoops's father was John Christopher Hoops a private in the Georgia Civil war, his mother was Elizabeth Doradell Weigle. They had MANY children, some of which I have located, others I have not. He became an indigent soldier later in life, and Pensions were requested and managed by my GGGrandfather Richard Alexander Frain.

John Christopher Hoops's father was Henry H. Hoops, called a Major during the civil war, and died in 1865. He was a retired merchant, and emigrated to Georgia from Germany. He owned between 20 and 30 stocks in the Georgia Railroad and Bank.
Please post reply here... so I can share data with you.
