I just learned that my gr-uncle, Hersey Horace (sometimes Hearsey) moved from Louisiana, lived and died in California. His death was in San Francisco in 1970. He is the son of Anna and William Horace of LaSalle Parish, LA. No one living can say what ever happened to him I do know he was called "Buddy." Hello-- I am researching my Horace/Horrace (the spelling often alternates) family. We have found them in first Georgia (1860/1870 Census). and then Catahoula and La Salle Parishes in Louisiana from 1880 and beyond.

The names I have are Peter and Easter Horace as well as Washington and Camilla Horace (in GA). My most recent Louisiana ancestors are Mary, Violet (Dee) and Buddy Horace. My gr-grandmother was raised in Jena, LA for a time (Willie Mae Cross).

If this rings a bell with anyone please let me know.

Im looking for information on the Horace family. My grandmother's name is Marie T. Horace, Daughter of Raymond Joseph Thomas Sr. and Viola Harris Thomas. She was born April 6, 1922 and died April 24, 2002. Her maiden name was Marie Thomas. She married Frank Horace (born 1900). I'm not sure of the year. I know she lived in Mobile Alabama for quite some time. Any information on ANY of these names would be appreciated!

I am from the Horace family of Philadelphia, Pa, area. My Father was born in Philadelphia in 1923. As far as I know, my portion of the family had always lived in the Philadelphia area.

Wow! It's great finding other family members. Do you have any other info. on the family. Grandpa L.P. has 2 sons. My dad's older brother (L.P. Horace Jr.) lived in Houston. He passed away last year. He has 6 children. My dad (Lee ) lives in Colmesneil. I'm his only child.

I'm not sure if we are related. I don't recognize the names, but that doesn't mean anything because I really don't know anything about the Horace side of the family. All I know is that my grandfather (L.P. Horace) grew up in the Groveton/Pennington, Tx. area and moved to Colmesneil, Tx. later on. His wife's name was Bessie Butler.

that you are the offspring of Collin Horace I, (born 1828). It
