I am interested in locating the property that was owned by Robert Hord as described in the Hord Family of Virginia books written by Reverend Arnold Harris Hord in 1898 and 1915. I have microfilm copies of all three books and famil tree I obtained from the library in Boston and SLC.
My family ancestor, Strother, moved from Virginia to Ohio. His two sons fought in the Civil War and were both killed. They had married two sisters from the May faily and each left a son. Francis Marion Hord, my direct line ancestor, went with his family to Oregon where his children raised their families. I am now residing in Arizona and am very interested in learning abou the ancestors, Strother, and his father, Nathaniel G. Hord, who were born and married in Virginia before migrating to Ohio
